From gene positions to expression databases: Exploring large datasets with interactive visualizations

We developed a number of tools for exploring large datasets with different motivations: Starting with an algorithmic way to find genes underlying telomere position effects, we used similar technologies to analyze large expression databases. In this presentation, we show how interactive visualizations can help us make sense of big data and enable exploratory research.
